First view of COACHE results to be presented at town hall on Friday

Faculty and continuing lecturers are invited to attend a town hall to discuss the results from the 2018 COACHE faculty survey 9-10:30 a.m. Friday (Jan. 25) in Stewart Center, Room 206. The event will include a brief presentation that also will be webcast live here.

While millions of Americans return to work and school after the weekend, others will still be at home. And that’s fine to one Purdue University nursing faculty member. Libby Richards, an assistant professor in Purdue’s School of Nursing who specializes in public health, said that flu season is ramping up quickly across many parts of the U.S.

Researchers advance
innovations through
$100,000-plus in funding

Three Purdue researchers have received a total of $121,000 from the Trask Innovation Fund to further develop their technologies and move them through the commercialization pipeline. The technologies include an alternative to lithium-ion batteries, an innovative handheld sensor that gives plant scientists and farmers a more precise way of measuring the health of crops and a way for consumers to choose a health care provider without revealing sensitive information.

Exhibit on international students’ contributions to Purdue’s 150-year history

A new Purdue Archives and Special Collections exhibit, “Around the World in 150 Years: Purdue’s International Footprint," is focusing on the experience of international students at Purdue throughout the institution’s history. The exhibit highlights a variety of cultures, countries, activities, and time periods represented in the holdings of Archives and Special Collections, with a special focus on students who were among the first from their home countries to attend Purdue.
