Study Abroad representatives looking for classroom presentation opportunities

Representatives from the Office of Programs for Study Abroad would like to visit classrooms early in the spring semester to give short presentations about Purdue’s study abroad opportunities. Visits are to be conducted by Feb. 22.

Purdue hits triple milestones for startups

Purdue University hit a milestone in startup creation in 2018 with 223 startups, more than $350 million in funding and investments generated and more than 300 new jobs, officials announced Thursday. President Mitch Daniels said this is the fruit of Purdue's strengthened "commercialization ecosystem." Mayor John Dennis joined in affirming the economic climate in the area.

One day, vehicles may make those split-second decisions when injury or death could occur. Can a vehicle decide morally, and how? A Purdue Ideas Festival event Jan. 23 in the CATV Ethics & Policy workshop series will take up such questions.

Replacement mobile
command center donated to public safety team

A brand-new, 28-foot mobile command center will assist emergency responders at Purdue and in the area in handling situations and covering large events. The Coachmen Freedom Express was donated to Purdue by the company and its president.
