Dimensions of Discovery research news posts latest issue online

The latest edition of the Dimensions of Discovery research newsletter, a quarterly newsletter from the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, is now available online. Highlights of the issue include a photo spread from the Excellence in Research events last November; an interview with Tomás Díaz de la Rubia, Discovery Park's new chief scientist and executive director; and an infographic on budgeting for researchers.

Michele Buzon

Purdue archaeologist excavating in the Sudan, Nile River Valley area

Michele Buzon, an associate professor of anthropology, is returning to Tombos, Sudan, to excavate tombs in the Nile River Valley and research the Egyptian and Nubian cultures from thousands of years ago. Buzon is excavating Nubian burial sites dated 1500-1050 BCE to better understand the relationship between the Nubians and Egyptians during the New Kingdom Empire.
