Wilbur honored with Purdue's 2015 Research and Scholarship Distinction Award

Professor Ronnie Wilbur, recognized as a pioneer for her interdisciplinary work in linguistics and speech, language and hearing sciences, is the recipient of the 2015 Purdue University Research and Scholarship Distinction Award.

Technology's role in society to be discussed
at Dawn or Doom2

More than 20 speakers will address the role of technologies in our lives at "Dawn or Doom2: The Risks and Rewards of Emerging Technologies" on Thursday and Friday (Sept. 24 and 25) in Purdue's Stewart Center.

Purdue faculty experts and leading national authorities will present their perspectives on the current technology explosion, explore conditions that will foster innovation and investment into the next generation of technology, and address the big-picture issues where both excitement and alarm are appropriate responses.
