Purdue at the Indiana State FairThe Purdue presence at the Indiana State Fair will include seven major exhibits — such as this one on salamanders and a mulitple-stop one, "The Edible Journey," about how food gets from farm to store — other exhibits, demonstrations and knowledge from Purdue master gardeners. The fair will run Aug. 7-23 in Indianapolis. Above: Among the exhibits in the Purdue Extension Ag/Hort Building during the Indiana State Fair is one on salamanders, such as the popular eastern hellbender, which can grow to 2 feet long and has many nicknames, including snot otter and old lasagna sides.
