Faculty, staff invited to Spring Fling on Thursday

Spring Fling, the annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, is set for 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (May 21) at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center.

Purdue Polytechnic Institute transformation

The Purdue Board of Trustees on Friday (May 15) approved renaming the College of Technology to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, part of the transformation of the college's learning experiences for student success and industry needs. The new name reflects the college's curricular and cultural changes, designed to produce graduates who have not only deep knowledge, applied skills and experiences in their chosen discipline but also problem solving, critical thinking, communications and leadership skills sought by industries and communities. It integrates humanities with technical skills and expands experiential learning to include internships and industry-sponsored senior capstone projects.
