Campus-wide tornado drill set for today

As part of statewide testing of communication systems during Severe Weather Preparedness Week, Purdue's All Hazards Outdoor Warning Sirens will be tested and a morning tornado drill conducted today (March 19).

Daniels calls on Congress to join higher ed reformers

President Mitch Daniels called on Congress to join a growing movement to reform higher education, making it more accessible and accountable to students, parents and taxpayers. Daniels testified Tuesday (March 17) before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education & Workforce, Subcommittee on Higher Education & Workforce Training. Also this week in Washington, D.C., Daniels spoke to the American Council on Education (ACE) annual meeting and at national think tank the Brookings Institution (above), as well as took part in the Aspen Institute Community College Excellence Prize winner announcement ceremony, for which he was co-chair of the prize jury.

Daniels hits national airwaves while in D.C.

President Mitch Daniels was in high demand this week for national television programs as he testified before Congress on issues facing higher education.
