PALS

600 local youth win at Purdue health, skills summer program

Nearly 600 Tippecanoe County youth, ages 8-14, will spend five weeks at camp this summer learning about fitness, sports, healthy eating and financial literacy at the 13th annual Purdue Athletes Life Success program, which runs through July 11. The program, which started in 2002, has served more than 3,000 area youth.

Final aerial treatment to rid campus of gypsy moths planned

The U.S. Forest Service is scheduled to deliver the third and final aerial application over the West Lafayette campus on Thursday (June 26).

Emergency preparedness training sessions continue

All-Hazards Awareness Training is continuing to be offered to the Purdue community through in-person sessions and online through the University's Blackboard Learn and WebCert websites.

Living Tobacco Free series offered by Center for Healthy Living

The Center for Healthy Living is taking registrations now for its Living Tobacco Free series. Program participants will meet from noon to 12:50 p.m. each Wednesday July 9 through Aug. 13.

Purdue Print and Digital Services delivered by Xerox will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday (June 24) at the Printing Services Facility, 698 Ahlers Drive.

CSSAC to offer trip to Chicago Cubs game

The Purdue Employees Activity Program, a subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee, is sponsoring a bus trip to Chicago on July 12 to see the Chicago Cubs play the Atlanta Braves.

9 Purdue students receive full ride with graduate school option

Nine Purdue students, including six from Indiana, will receive the Beering Scholarship, which covers full educational expenses for a bachelor's degree and the opportunity to pursue two other graduate degrees at the university.

Seven incoming students, including four from Indiana, have garnered Stamps Scholarships, which have recently increased to cover all costs for an undergraduate degree at Purdue.
