Purdue, Houston Methodist partner to take drug discoveries from the 'bench top to
the bedside'

Purdue and Houston Methodist Research Institute plan to collaborate on research and educational initiatives, including clinical trials of drugs developed
at Purdue.

The partnership helps to advance the Purdue Moves drug discovery initiative to translate basic research into
life-changing treatments.

As part of Indiana's Severe Weather Preparedness Week, Purdue's Office of Emergency Preparedness and Planning will coordinate a campus-wide tornado drill on Thursday (March 20).

Enhancements made to International Travel Insurance Program

Risk Management has enhanced its International Travel Insurance Program, which provides students, faculty and staff traveling abroad on University business with international medical and evacuation assistance as well as other related benefits. Enhancements include the availability to print an ID card and provide a spouse, dependent child under the age of 19 or same-sex domestic partner the same coverage as the covered participant at no additional cost.

Exterior building inspections to use binoculars next week

Contractors will be on campus from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday (March 17, 20-21), using binoculars to observe masonry work on Lambert Fieldhouse. This is an approved inspection activity conducted by Arsee Engineers Inc., and the observers will be wearing hats and jackets that display their company logo for easy identification.

Purdue Today schedule for spring break

Purdue Today will reduce its publishing schedule during spring break. It will be published Monday (March 17) and Thursday (March 20). Purdue Today will resume daily publication on March 24.

Led by the individual invitations earned by Lyam Dias and Guillermo Blanco, six Purdue men swimmers will represent the Boilermakers at the NCAA Championships on March 27-29.

Purdue Calumet women's basketball advances to
NAIA Sweet Sixteen

No. 15 Purdue Calumet claimed its first NAIA Tournament victory in program history, knocking off No. 18 Oregon Tech, 83-75, in Wednesday's opening-round game. Purdue Calumet will take on Davenport in the NAIA Tournament Sweet Sixteen at 3:30 p.m. today (March 14).
