A passion for access, inclusivity and opportunity shone brightly at the 2014 Focus Awards honoring efforts that further Purdue's commitment to disability accessibility and disability diversity. Under the theme "Dream to Dare," the awards reception contained many affirmations that much is happening and much more is possible.
Faculty and staff news
The Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) will hold a brown-bag lunch and presentation for West Lafayette campus staff members on March 17.
Spring Fling will return to its 2012 location at and around Memorial Mall for its 2014 event from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 22.
Another pair of public meetings regarding the State Street Master Plan will take place Thursday (March 13). Both will use an open house format.
A campus-wide open forum to discuss the new Active Learning Center will be held 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday (March 13) in Stewart Center, Room 310.
"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.

Purdue sports
With the regular season now complete, the Purdue men's basketball team will face Ohio State in Thursday's first round of the Big Ten Tournament at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Purdue had four individuals earn a podium finish at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships on Sunday, and Cashé Quiroga and Braden Atwood earned automatic bids to the NCAA Wrestling Championships on March 20-22.
