In the Spotlight
A Purdue magazine's online series is examining the community and economic development issues that face rural Indiana. The series also is showing how some communities are seizing opportunities to help improve their residents' quality of life.
The seven-part series, "Giving New Life to Rural Indiana," draws on the research and expertise of Purdue Agriculture faculty and Extension educators as well as others involved in rural leadership. Defining rural Indiana, supporting entrepreneurs, boosting budgets through grants and overcoming poverty are among the topics addressed.
