A powerful Web-based system to probe geospatial data for purposes ranging from predicting damaging floods to projecting climate change effects on the poor is the goal of Purdue researchers in a new National Science Foundation-funded project that should help address pressing issues in the U.S. and around the globe.

All-campus holiday reception scheduled for Dec. 3
Purdue faculty and staff are invited to join President Mitch Daniels for an all-campus holiday open house and reception on Dec. 3 in the Ballrooms of Purdue Memorial Union. The event will be held 4:30-5:30 p.m. Those who would like to attend are welcome to drop in at any time during that hour.
