More than 2,000 Purdue students will participate this weekend (Nov. 9-10) in the Purdue University Dance Marathon, which since 2005 has raised more than $1 million for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
Faculty and staff news
The Purdue community is invited to join President Mitch Daniels for a President's Forum from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 7) in Purdue Memorial Union, South Ballroom. The forum will feature Daniels along with panelists who are leading Purdue Moves initiatives to expand the College of Engineering and strengthen computer science. The forum will be live streamed at www.kaltura.com/tiny/z0mgo.
Representatives from many of Purdue's benefit companies will be on hand to answer questions today (Nov. 6) at the Benefit Vendor Round-Up in Stewart Center, Room 310. The round-up will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Today's benefit enrollment events
The following events are scheduled for today (Nov. 6):
- Walk-in labs at 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in Freehafer Hall, Room 1-5, and 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in Beering Hall, Room B280.
- "2014 Benefits Enrollment" presentations at 11 a.m.-noon, 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 322.
- Benefit Vendor Round-Up at 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 310.

Daniels takes Purdue message
to Southern Indiana
President Mitch Daniels interacts with students at Evansville North Junior High School during a trip to Southern Indiana on Tuesday (Nov. 5) to talk about Purdue Moves, the 10 initiatives aimed at enhancing the University's strengths and preparing it for the future. Daniels also spoke with students at Evansville North High School and was the keynote speaker at the Rotary Club of Evansville. In Princeton, Daniels met with the leadership team, area suppliers, Purdue engineers, co-op students and civic leaders at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc. He also visited with alumni at an event in Jeffersonville.
Purdue University Libraries is helping connect scientists to their research by participating in ORCID, a nonprofit organization that registers researchers' identities and links them across different systems that manage scholarly information.
The Purdue Psychology Treatment and Research Clinic (PPTRC) within the Department of Psychological Sciences is accepting new adult clients.
