Elaine Blakemore

Elaine Blakemore is fascinated by gender development in children -- and how that development can affect their entire adult lives. Blakemore is a professor of psychology and associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She has been studying children's gender development since the 1970s, teaches budding psychologists at IPFW and mentors junior faculty members as they navigate the promotion and tenure process.

Daniels to speak at U.S. Chamber of Commerce today in D.C.

Today (Sept. 24), President Mitch Daniels will be in Washington, D.C., to keynote the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Business Horizon Retreat, focusing on entitlement and tax reform, pro-growth strategies and the need for government investment in fundamental scientific research. The retreat audience will include more than 100 policymakers and chamber members, including the Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, which is composed of the top 100 chamber leaders from around the nation. The talk is scheduled to be livestreamed from 10:15 to 11 a.m. at https://uscham.com/19Jl7yh.

The College of Agriculture Study Abroad Fair will be held 5-6:30 p.m. today (Sept. 24) on the lawn in front of the Agricultural Administration Building.
