New Purdue students participate in the "Boiler Up Rally" on Monday (Aug. 12) at Ross-Ade Stadium during Boiler Gold Rush, the University's orientation program involving about 5,500 new students. This year, BGR features an expanded program for international students, a new-student induction ceremony and a day focused on large enrollment courses that students will face during their first semester. HUBbub 2013, the annual conference for users and would-be users of HUBzero set for Sept. 5-6, will highlight new features including Pinterest-style information sharing, a course delivery system and a mechanism for publishing interactive databases using the ready-made Web platform for research and education developed at Purdue.
