Horticulture Gardens

Summer rains beauty on Purdue's Horticulture Gardens

Purdue's Horticulture Gardens wrap beautifully around the Horticulture Building on Marsteller Street. Within the half-acre gardens are some 1,200 species of plants with names as interesting as the plants are visually appealing, including spike speedwell, foxglove, candy lily and sneezewort. In addition to their pastoral beauty, the gardens also serve as a classroom for students in areas such as horticulture, botany, entomology, plant pathology and veterinary medicine. The College of Agriculture's ConnectionsNOW! publication focuses on the gardens and provides a photo gallery of its stunning offerings here.
