Purdue's Earth Day 2013 activities will feature a carnival of exhibits, games and demonstrations as well as campus and community project presentations and a lecture by retired Col. Mark Mykleby of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Purdue also is partnering with Evonik Corp.'s Tippecanoe Laboratories to bring to campus Wind Explorer, a cutting-edge vehicle fueled by wind and solar power that traversed Australia on $15 worth of fuel.

The U.S.-China EcoPartnership for Environmental Sustainability at Purdue is launching a travel grant program through the Purdue-China Visiting Scholars Network, awarding up to eight travel grants valued at $4,500 each.
A new summertime Accounting Bridge Program at the Krannert School of Management will provide graduate courses to fill in professional needs or partially meet admissions requirements for a master's degree program in accounting.
A group of Purdue professionals whose investigation into consumer complaints of tree and plant damage led to a nationwide ban of the turf herbicide Imprelis will receive the 2013 Purdue Agriculture TEAM Award.

As Purdue baseball welcomes Nebraska to campus for the first time since 1907, the Alexander Field dedication ceremony is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday (April 20) before game two of the Big Ten weekend series.
In response to the bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday, Intercollegiate Athletics has announced there will be increased security at all home events this weekend (April 19-21).
