Purdue's R.B. Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry building will be dedicated as one of the American Chemical Society's historic chemical landmarks on April 26.
Faculty and staff news
A special Board of Trustees issue of Purdue Today will be sent today (April 5) at the conclusion of the board's scheduled meeting. The agenda for the meeting is available here.
A mailing will be sent out next week regarding Spring Fling, the annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees. The mailing includes registration forms for events and a staff appreciation entry that employees must bring to Spring Fling to enter drawings for door prizes. This will be the only mailing for the event.
The Purdue Employees Activity Program, a subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee, is sponsoring a trip to Indiana Grand Casino on April 20.
General news
Results of the 23rd annual national Airline Quality Rating (AQR) will be announced at 9:30 a.m. Monday (April 8) in Washington, D.C., during a news conference at the National Press Club's Murrow Room. The rating is conducted annually by researchers at Purdue's Department of Aviation Technology and the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University.
Purdue sports
The Purdue football team's Jersey Scrimmage will take place Saturday in Ross-Ade Stadium. Fans can attend the offense vs. defense scrimmage, which begins shortly after 10 a.m. Purdue faculty and staff are invited to "take the field" from 9:30 to 10 a.m. to take pictures and hang out on the playing surface of Ross-Ade prior to the scrimmage.
