Four initiators of diverse win-win approaches to furthering Purdue's commitment to disability accessibility and disability diversity received Purdue's annual Focus Awards on Tuesday (March 5) at a reception kicking off Disability Awareness Month. This year's theme highlighted "Diversity Within the Disability Community."

Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday (March 10), meaning campus clocks will have to 'spring forward' this weekend.
The Child Care Task Force would like to remind faculty and staff on the West Lafayette campus that today is the final day to complete an online survey on current and future child care needs and resources. The survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, is available here.
The Global Policy Research Institute Director Search Committee is hosting seminars for three candidates for the GPRI director position in March and April.
Purdue's Global Policy Research Institute is accepting incentive award proposals for research projects, international workshops and international conferences relevant to GPRI's mission and theme areas. Purdue's Brian Lamb School of Communication has received a $2 million gift from an anonymous donor that will be used for faculty, students and school programs. Portions of the gift will be matched with University funds, raising its value to $3 million.

Purdue University Libraries is seeking student participants to survey its website help section on March 18 and 20. It is also seeking user evaluation by appointment.
Purdue sports
No. 3 seed Purdue will take on Wisconsin about 3 p.m. today (March 8) in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament. The No. 11-seeded Badgers upset No. 6 Illinois 58-57 on Thursday in a first-round game as Purdue had a bye. The tournament will continue through Sunday at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Game notes are here. Tournament information is here.
Led by the individual invitations earned by Lauren Gustafson and Rhiannon Sheets, six Purdue women's swimmers will represent the Boilermakers at the NCAA Championships on March 21-23 in Indianapolis.
Five Boilermakers will participate today and Saturday (March 8-9) in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Purdue wrestling team enters the postseason this weekend, heading to the University of Illinois for the 2013 Big Ten Championships. The Boilermakers are coming off of their best dual season in recent history, posting a 17-6 overall mark and 5-3 record in Big Ten duals.
