As a child, Rosie Clawson heard and watched her parents' passionate discussions of politics. Now, as professor and head of political science at Purdue, Clawson leads her students in critical and analytical discussions about the most important political issues of our time. Clawson's work is especially pertinent this fall as the country prepares for the November general election.
Faculty and staff news
Human Resources has developed a Web-based database for departments to report registry checks performed on volunteer applicants. This database will serve as the annual report required by the Volunteers, Interim policy (VI.B.2).
Faculty and staff covered by a Purdue medical plan can now see their prescriptions, too, within Castlight. The addition of prescription information makes Castlight a more robust tool for managing health care.
WorkLife Programs offers classes on a variety of topics designed to educate employees and improve their overall health.

The Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron will visit Purdue Airport on Oct. 10-13 to honor the Tuskegee Airmen and teach about their color boundary-breaking accomplishments during World War II.
