Laura Sands

Professor focuses on healthy outcomes

Although she's not a nurse herself, Laura Sands, the Katherine Birck Professor of Nursing, has found a happy workplace home in Purdue's School of Nursing. As the first named professor in the school's history, Sands says she is humbled by the honor and eager to continue the collaborative work with doctoral students and research faculty within her school and across campus that can lead to healthy outcomes. Big Ten announces championship sites

The Big Ten Conference has announced that the Council of Presidents/Chancellors approved a recommendation from university administrators for the cities of Chicago, Hoffman Estates and Indianapolis to rotate as the host sites for the Big Ten Football Championship Games and Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments for a four-year period beginning with the 2012-13 academic year.
