Profiles: 5 students who are veterans

Purdue has a long tradition of service in defense of our country. Our own Purdue Memorial Union stands as a permanent memorial to the Purdue students, faculty, and staff who served in World War I and those who gave their lives. Since then, the Union has become a place to remember and honor those who have served in all conflicts.

Today, a new generation of veterans is finding a home at Purdue. These individuals have served their country in uniform and many are now finding new ways to serve -- on campus and in our community. As we celebrate Veterans Day, meet five Purdue students who are demonstrating the tradition of service that Purdue is proud to honor today, and every day. More

The Purduettes will sing patriotic songs, and there will be three speakers including Bob Mindrum, PMU director. Refreshments will follow in Room 118, which will have a display of posters and letters. All are welcome.
