Faculty incorporate Common Reading selection into courses

Faculty members on campus are finding innovative ways to use this year's Common Reading book selection, "Stealing Buddha's Dinner" by Bich Minh Nguyen, associate professor of English, in their courses and interactions with students.

Angelica Duran, associate professor of English and comparative literature and director of religious studies, is using the book in her course "English 232: Coming of Age in America," which is part of the identically named learning community. More

To the moon, Alice: Ind. team seeks lunar prize

Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, MSNBC.com, WAVE-TV (Louisville), Fox 28 (South Bend), Richmond Palladium-Item, Bloomington (Ill.) Pantagraph, Times of Northwest Indiana, Greencastle Banner-Graphic, Journal & Courier (College of Engineering) -- A dozen people representing aerospace programs around the country are working in Anderson to design a way to land a rover on the moon as part of an international competition worth millions. Pete Bitar has been working with team LunaTrex since January 2008. He said the team includes about 12 representatives from Purdue University, the University of Dayton, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and other aerospace institutions and schools. More
