Managing e-mail -- delete items a second time

In early August, ITaP will begin migrating e-mail accounts for Exchange users to Exchange 2007, which will offer a new look and new features. Individual users will experience a brief outage window during their migration, and remembering to delete items a second time can help lessen outage windows. ITaP offers tips on deleting, archiving and organizing here.

Presentations to focus on visual desktop infrastructure

Three vendors will demonstrate virtual desktop infrastructure, or VDI, at open forums today and Friday. The VDI "Bake-Off," sponsored by the Purdue IT community and the College of Science, will give information technology staff the chance to see three visions for VDI at Purdue. Multiple presentations will be made in Rawls Hall by each vendor. Times and specific locations are available here.

Ag Econ to help sponsor global trade analysis course

The Seventeenth Annual Short Course in Global Trade Analysis will be held Aug. 8-14 in Bangkok, Thailand. The course is being jointly organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific and the Center for Global Trade Analysis in the Purdue Department of Agricultural Economics. Farmers market to be held today near Dauch

Local Indiana growers and merchants continue to offer fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, homemade crafts and more at a farmers market on the West Lafayette campus. Check out the market from 3 to 6:30 p.m. today at the corner of Sheetz and Wood streets, just west of the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center. The market, sponsored by Purdue Physical Facilities, will be held Thursdays through Aug. 13.
