Unity Healthcare to stay in PHCS

Unity Healthcare will continue its participation in Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS) for 2007 and 2008. PHCS is the preferred provider network used by the Incentive PPO and Purdue 500 medical plans. The decision is the result of negotiations that have been ongoing since July.

Drew, Brittany Brees give $2 million for Student-Athlete Academic Center

A $2 million gift from former Boilermaker All-America quarterback Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany, will boost the
academic side of Purdue's intercollegiate athletics program.

The gift, to be announced tonight (Sept. 28) at the Purdue
Athletics Directors Dinner in Ross-Ade Pavilion, will enhance an academic area to be named the Drew and Brittany Brees Student-Athlete Academic Center. More

Kevin Taylor has been selected as interim director of the College of Technology at Kokomo. Taylor, who has been an associate professor of electrical engineering technology at Kokomo since 1992, is overseeing operations for the College of Technology at Kokomo, located on the Indiana University Kokomo campus. Veterinary oncology lecture to mark anniversary of radiation treatment facility

To mark the one-year anniversary of the Linda and William Fleischhauer Radiation Facility, the School of Veterinary Medicine will present an Oct. 4 lecture that explains how radiation therapy is making a difference for animal cancer patients being treated at Purdue. Facility director Wallace Morrison will discuss "Beating Cancer in Dogs and Cats: The Power of External Beam Radiation Therapy at Purdue." More
