Dr. Zach Weber, Clinical Professor in Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy, teaches a variety of course ranging from Therapeutics to Professional Skills Labs, that allow students to practice and execute essential knowledge and skills needed in pharmacy practice. Weber works with students as both a professor and Director of Interprofessional Education and contributes to the professional-level education experience that helps students reach their goals upon graduation. Weber has created scholarly contributions in teaching and learning by enhancing the curriculum in the College of Pharmacy and has been recognized for his efforts through the awards he has received and committees on which he has served.

Weber has also transformed the pharmacy curriculum at Purdue. He both developed and implemented the interprofessional education (IPE) curriculum, which is a unique component of the Doctor of Pharmacy training that helps prepare students to be collaborative-ready team members with health science partners upon graduation. He created and serves as coordinator for five new, required IPE classes in the curriculum. With a focus on team teaching, he collaborates with colleagues to enhance the educational experience of his students by sharing best practice methods of teaching effectiveness.

Weber has also been inducted into the Purdue University Teaching Academy, has won awards for his teaching at the College, University, and National level, and has served on selection panels for university teaching awards. He also is a member of the Purdue Teaching Excellence Advisory Committee and Clinical Faculty Advisory Board, where he contributes to furthering the impact of teaching across Purdue’s campus. Weber is committed to the student experience and strives to promote teaching excellence whenever possible.
