Mathematical modeling expert from Sweden to speak

Andrei Khrennikov of Sweden, a prominent figure in mathematical modeling and its multidisciplinary uses, will be the speaker Thursday (March 21) in the Mathematical and Computational Cognitive Science Seminar at Purdue.

Khrennikov will speak on "Quantum-like Models in Cognitive Science and Psychology" at 1:30-3 p.m. in Stanley Coulter Hall, Room 239. The seminar is part of the Mathematical and Computational Cognitive Science seminar series in the Department of Psychological Sciences. Those in other disciplines are especially invited to join this session.

Khrennikov is professor of applied mathematics and director of the International Center for Mathematical Modeling in Physics, Engineering, Economics, and Cognitive Sciences at Linnaeus University in Växjö-Kalmar, Sweden.
