Benefits, Resources & Assistance
We understand that making benefit choices may require some big decisions. There are a lot of things to consider. We want to make sure you have the tools and resources you need to answer questions, understand terms and evaluate the benefit plans thoroughly. Dedicated Enrollment Website We’ve created a dedicated enrollment website that is user-friendly and easy to navigate. It is your go-to resource for all things open enrollment.
Virtual Presentations We will not be holding general presentation sessions in person this year. However, HR Benefits is partnering with our HR business partners to conduct virtual presentations for each department or academic unit. Additionally, a recorded, interactive version of the presentation will be available online in early September. More information, including schedules for each campus, is available on the Resources section of the enrollment website.
Virtual One-on-One Meetings We’ll offer virtual one-on-one meetings (via Microsoft Teams or by phone) with a Benefits team member between Sept. 14 and Oct. 23. You can discuss topics like the new CDHP medical offerings, transitioning from a PPO to a CDHP, how prescriptions are covered, voluntary plan options and more. When you make your appointment, please be sure to select the topic you would like to discuss or include details in the notes field. We ask that employees use these meetings for open enrollment issues only. You may continue to get assistance with other benefits-related issues (leave of absence, retirement counseling or planning, claims, benefit eligibility, life events, etc.) by contacting the HR service center at 765-494-2222 or hr@purdue.edu.
In-Person Labs In-person enrollment assistance will be available between Oct. 28 and Nov. 10 in the Kurz Purdue Technology Center in the Purdue Research Park. In order to follow Protect Purdue protocols, we will be set up for social distancing and limited space will be available. We are hopeful that most individuals will be able to use the resources provided and reserve the labs appointments for those who truly need in-person help. In-person assistance is available by appointment only. More information will be provided closer to open enrollment.
Medicare/Retirement Presentations Employees who will be age 65 in 2021 need to make some decisions about Medicare and possibly Social Security. Watch our Thinking about Medicare? video for more information. Additionally, we will hold presentations on the following dates:
You can also schedule a virtual one-on-one with a benefits specialist to discuss Medicare. When you make your appointment, please be sure to select the topic you would like to discuss or include details in the notes field.
