We invite children and families in our community to take part in research studies that explore your child’s amazing language learning skills. We are a part of the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Department at Purdue University and members of the Purdue Infant-Child Language and Speech research group at Purdue.
Language skills are essential for success in school, the workplace and beyond. We want to ensure that all children succeed. Our lab examines many issues in language and cognitive development including:
- How children and adults use their knowledge to increase their vocabulary
- How we understand language in everyday spoken contexts
- How language and other cognitive skills are related
Please explore our website and learn more about our research team and projects. There are many opportunities to get involved in helping us unravel the mysteries of language learning and the mind.
