For the sake of creating the above animated GIF, the input link DE has an oscillating (non-constant) rotation rate. However, when link DE is vertical, alpha_DE is zero. Therefore, for the instant at which you are asked to find angular velocities and angular accelerations, the animation corresponds to the problem statement.
What do you see at the position when DE is vertical in terms of the angular velocity of link BD? Does this agree with an IC analysis? What does this mean about the relative sizes of the speeds of points A and D? Also, note that although alpha_DE is zero when DE is vertical, D will has a vertical component of acceleration at that position. Keep that in mind as you solve the acceleration part of the problem.
