Team
The SAiVE Lab is a diverse, international group spanning institutions in the United States, Canada, France, Brazil, South Africa, and beyond. We are united by a shared interest in isotope geolocation and data-driven environmental science. Across his career, Dr. Bataille has supervised or co-supervised 8 postdoctoral fellows, 8 PhD students, 10 MSc students, and 29 undergraduate researchers—many of whom have earned competitive fellowships and awards and gone on to successful careers in academia, government, and industry.

Principal Investigator
Clement P. Bataille—Belcher Chair of Environmental Sustainability and Associate Professor, Department of Forestry & Natural Resources, Purdue University; Adjunct Professor, University of Ottawa. Dr. Bataille earned his PhD in Geology & Geophysics from the University of Utah and built an internationally recognized program in isotope geolocation, with more than 75 peer-reviewed publications including papers in Science, PNAS, Nature Communications, Science Advances, and Nature Geoscience.
