The Purdue Connector Ecosystem
Overview
Purdue University’s brain trust is extraordinary, spanning cutting-edge scientific research, high-impact academic publications, innovative patents, and a community of collaborative faculty, students, and staff. As a land-grant institution, Purdue not only prepares future workers and researchers but also puts knowledge to work to improve lives and communities.
To strengthen the translation of Purdue’s research and expertise into meaningful impact, the Office of Engagement and the Office of the Provost are proud to advance Purdue’s new Connector Ecosystem model together. Designed to enhance, not limit, the extensive and multifaceted community engagement already in motion, this model provides university-wide leadership, partnerships, and support.
The main objective of this model is to broaden access to Purdue’s university brain trust, leverage it into greater community impact, and provide opportunities for Purdue faculty and students to meaningfully engage with Indiana communities. This model prioritizes responsiveness, strengthens efficiencies, and, most importantly, deliver added value to Purdue Extension’s trusted local contractual services.
Ultimately, Purdue will strengthen its relevance and trust among non-academic groups, document broader impacts, and elevate powerful stories of Purdue partnership.
