Protect Purdue team welcoming feedback while anticipating further relaxing mask requirements

The latest medical guidance, evidenced by recent decisions and communications from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, indicates that masks are no longer recommended en masse for areas like Tippecanoe County and the Purdue University campus. In anticipation of further relaxing Purdue's mask requirements, the Protect Purdue Implementation Team is inviting faculty, staff and students to submit any suggestions or possible considerations regarding this change.

Building a pipeline: PPHS origins story

Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) is revolutionizing education and changing students’ lives. After recognizing too few minority high school students were academically prepared for the challenge of postsecondary education at Purdue University, President Mitch Daniels and university leaders took action. A new high school was created for K-12 Indiana students who are underserved by traditional high schools and underrepresented in higher education. PPHS was built as a STEM-focused, student-directed, hands-on learning environment that empowers students and prepares them for the future, all while serving as a pipeline to Purdue.

Purdue tapped as lead for Midwest research hub of new Air Force program

Purdue University will further research and development in critical areas of national security as a lead academic partner of a new pilot initiative with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Purdue was selected as the lead academic partner and headquarters for the AFRL Regional Research Hub – Midwest and will be involved in the development of a science and technology ecosystem across a wide area of 15 states.

Purdue joins elite list of Fulbright top-producing institutions

Purdue University has been included on the prestigious list of U.S. colleges and universities selected as a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Top Producing Institution for 2021-22. Each year the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces the top-producing institutions for the Fulbright Program, the federal government’s flagship international educational exchange program.
