Access recently restored to select campus facilities; others set for August

Access to West Lafayette campus buildings is being restored in a phased manner with some facilities opening last week and others scheduled for early August. As buildings return to a regular unlock and lock schedule, the University’s guidance related to remote work remains in place.

Commencement box

On-demand commencement planned for summer grads

More than 1,400 students will hear their names called during Purdue University’s summer commencement. Originally scheduled for Aug. 8, the on-demand commencement will be posted online for graduates and their families to access starting Aug. 3. This is the second time Purdue’s commencement will be offered on-demand due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is Purdue" podcast's latest episode features two nostalgic parts of Purdue’s history. The first half focuses on Purdue Pete, highlighting Pete's origins, changes to his look and memories of students who took on the iconic role. The second half features Purdue's Big Bass Drum, which will celebrate its 100th year with the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band in 2021.
