Giant Leaps Research: Briony Horgan

Purdue is celebrating 150 years of innovation by looking forward, exploring some of the world’s most pressing problems and the University’s mandate to be a part of the solutions. What will it take to send people to Mars or to grow enough food to feed the world? Will we control tomorrow’s machines or will they control us? What will it take to live to 150 and do we want to?

Purdue Today's new Giant Leaps Research series will focus on Purdue researchers striving to address these challenges. Today, the series starts with Briony Horgan, professor of earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences, who has spent much of her career trying to understand the history of the moon and Mars.
