Nearly one year ago, Purdue University set the vision to establish Purdue at the forefront of data science and convened working groups in both research and education to advance the effort. This message from the Integrative Data Science Initiative discusses what has been accomplished and what is in store to advance the vision for data science at Purdue.

Purdue scientists have discovered the switch in plants that turns off production of terpenoids, compounds that play roles in plant physiology and are used by humans in everything from fragrances and flavoring to biofuels and pharmaceuticals.
