Immersion techniques: Working with the indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon

Each year, Laura Zanotti, associate professor of anthropology, leads a group of seven to 10 undergraduate students on an ethnographic field methods study abroad trip to learn from and work with indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon. Find out how students gain an understanding of the complex issues of indigenous rights, conservation and development in the College of Liberal Arts' THiNK magazine.
