Redesigned versions of Purdue's home page and connected pages launched today (Aug. 4), and they feature responsive design for mobile devices, an easier navigation system and simpler content layout that focuses on the University's core audiences.
Faculty and staff news
Ralph Webb, professor of communication, will become faculty ombudsperson effective Aug. 18.
Members of the Purdue community are invited to attend presentations and open question and answer time with four individuals interviewing for the position of associate dean of students.
Parking Facilities is now offering a carpool permit to individuals who currently hold a valid "A" or "B" parking permit. By using the carpool permit, individuals who regularly commute together have the opportunity to save money on parking.
Purdue employees should be aware of a recent change made in ordering paper products from University Stores.
The Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee is now accepting nominations for the CSSAC Excellence Award, which recognizes clerical and service staff members who perform at outstanding levels. Nominations will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday (Aug. 8).
Any delegate with a verified Receipt Store email address can now send receipt images to the Receipt Store on behalf of a traveler.
Purdue has selected HP Products as the consolidated and preferred supplier for all janitorial products (paper products, can liners and all cleaning chemicals). This selection was based on the overall value that HP Products brings in terms of price, service level, quality and product offering.
HP Products will be on campus Thursday (Aug. 7) to showcase their catalog and answer questions.
