The U.S. Department of the Navy and Purdue signed a statement of cooperation Thursday (May 8) agreeing to work together to convert up to half of the Navy and Marine Corps' energy consumption to alternative sources, including biofuels, by 2020. Purdue President Mitch Daniels and U.S. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus signed the agreement during a ceremony in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.

Following spring commencement, there will be an increase in construction on and around the West Lafayette campus. Students, faculty, staff and visitors should be cautious in areas where work is taking place.
Before and on May 22 during Spring Fling, the Purdue University Retirees Association (PURA) once again will sponsor a food drive to benefit surrounding communities.
The Center for Healthy Living is taking registrations through Wednesday (May 14) for its 12-week weight management program that begins May 20. The program will run from noon to 12:50 p.m. on Tuesdays through Aug. 5 in Smith Hall, Room 118.
