Gingerbread structures will deck the halls of Purdue Memorial Union from Tuesday through Friday (Dec. 3-6), displaying the talent of the Purdue Dining Services employees who are participating in the unit's second annual gingerbread construction contest. This year, eight Dining Services facilities will participate in the contest.
The holiday season at Purdue will kick off today (Dec. 2) when the 30-foot-tall Christmas tree arrives at the Memorial Union's Great Hall.

All-campus holiday reception scheduled for Tuesday
Purdue faculty and staff are invited to join President Mitch Daniels for an all-campus holiday open house and reception on Tuesday (Dec. 3) in the North Ballroom of Purdue Memorial Union. The event will be held 4:30-5:30 p.m. Those who would like to attend are welcome to drop in at any time during that hour.
Academic and administrative building office waste can now be disposed of in the blue desk-side receptacles by putting anything recyclable in one section and non-recyclables (food waste; snack wrappers; and facial tissues, napkins and restroom hand towels) in the other.
As faculty wrap up the fall semester and prepare course materials for the spring, ITaP resources on grade submission and Blackboard, along with training opportunities, are available to facilitate the transition. Changes to ITaP classroom and lab computers in 2014 also are planned.
"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.
