Forum highlights drug discovery, plant sciences initiativesThursday's President's Forum focused on 10 targeted programs designed to enhance research and educational opportunities for students and broaden Purdue's global impact. The forum featured opening remarks by President Mitch Daniels and presentations on two of the initiatives -- drug discovery and plant sciences. Panelists were Timothy Ratliff, professor and the Robert Wallace Miller Director of the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research; Philip Low, the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and inaugural director of the Purdue Center for Drug Discovery; Karen Plaut, senior associate dean for research and faculty affairs in the College of Agriculture; and Jay Akridge, the Glenn W.
