Get into the spirit before the game

* Boiler Bridge Walk: Meet and greet the Boilermaker football team at the Boiler Bridge Walk, which starts at 5:40 p.m. today (Sept. 6) at the fountain on the West Lafayette side of the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge.

* Boilermaker Crossing: Purdue fans can meet the teams, play on inflatable games, get prizes, pick up posters and more at the family-friendly Boilermaker Crossing at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sally and Bob Weist Plaza between Mackey Arena and the Brees Academic Center. The event is free.

* 211° Session: Tradition will redefine itself this fall with the 211° Session, a new pre-game pep rally featuring the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band, first-year football head coach Darrell Hazell and the Boilermaker football players. The event, which starts at 9:49 a.m. in Mackey Arena, replaces and expands upon the band's traditional Slayter Hill concert.

* Also at the 211° Session pep rally, a key document ensuring that Purdue would flourish during its formative years will become part of the University's archives. A Release of Mortgage -- a document filed when a loan has been paid in full -- from the estate of University benefactor John Purdue will be presented. More on the document and presentation is here.
