Literacy software and other assistive technology help students reach academic goals

To overcome vision and word-recognition challenges, Purdue alumna Aimee Bjornstad used multiple technologies while working toward her degree, including literacy software Read & Write GOLD, supported by ITaP's Assistive Technology Center (ATC). The ATC works to promote technology and Web accessibility for faculty, staff and students.

Publicizing, connecting to campus events, activities easy with PurdueBoard

Students, faculty and staff can communicate callout and event information across a variety of channels including social media, email and digital signs on campus through the PurdueBoard website.

Hot, dry spell damaging Indiana corn and soybean crops

Hot, dry weather that has returned to Indiana is beginning to take its toll on the state's corn and soybean crops, which Purdue Extension specialists said needed rain within days to keep them from deteriorating further.

Purdue director of student legal services begins today

Leslie Charters, a Tippecanoe County deputy public defender and former deputy prosecutor, today (Sept. 3) will become Purdue's first director of student legal services.
