In the Spotlight
The Purdue Farmers Market will reopen Thursday (May 2), and it will offer fruits, vegetables, crafts and other goods every Thursday through Oct. 31. The market, open 11 a.m.-3 p.m., returns for a second year to a spot on Centennial Mall between Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry and Stanley Coulter Hall.
Faculty and staff news
As the spring semester concludes, faculty can get help with completing end-of-semester tasks such as grade submission, updating a master course and retrieving course materials by visiting ITaP's online Blackboard Learn resources.
Volunteers are requested to help with food distribution, cleanup, fitness walk preparation and other tasks for Spring Fling, the annual Purdue staff appreciation event scheduled for May 23.
Information has been mailed to clerical and service staff about applying for membership on the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee. The application deadline is May 31.
"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.

Boiler Volunteer Network is requesting volunteers for Friday through Monday (May 3-6) for its 13th annual Project Move Out, which will allow students to donate items to families and organizations in need.
Purdue's fire department responded Saturday (April 27) morning to a fire at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, at 1051 David Ross Road.

The ninth-ranked Purdue women's golf team used a strong finish to earn a share of the Big Ten Championships title, recording a 297 on Sunday to tie at 884 with No. 24 Northwestern. Purdue senior Paula Reto won her first individual Big Ten championship by turning in a three-round, four-under par 212.
The Big Ten Conference office announced football division alignments set to begin in 2014 and nine-game conference schedules set to start in 2016. The new division alignments will feature Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers in the East Division and Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin in the West Division.
