New federal tax rates in effect for 2012

New federal tax rates went into effect Jan. 1, so beginning with the first pay of 2012, most employees will see a slight decrease in their federal withholding and an equivalent increase in their take-home pay. Read more...

Old local phone books to be set out today for recycling

Today (Jan. 20) is the day to place old phone directories out for pickup. Purdue Recycling crews will collect old phone directories Saturday (Jan. 21). Unneeded phone books, boxed or bundled, should be placed on loading docks or next to the outdoor green Purdue Recycling collection carts. Covering the books against the weather is helpful.
