Drink up! Because your body is composed of about 60 percent water, it is important to replenish your body's water stores after activity. If you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Even those who aren't very active are encouraged to get about eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day. This value increases depending on the activity level of the individual.
