Purdue listens to students, closes last of its 'old school' cafeterias

Last gourmet burger lunch

With students increasingly demanding restaurant-style eating on campus, University Residences is closing the last of its traditional residence hall cafeterias on Friday (May 2). Tarkington Hall Dining Room will serve its last meals between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The 50-year-old, 210-seat dining room is closing to make way for a 500-seat standalone dining court  that will open this summer just south of the Tarkington-Wiley residence hall complex. More

May Conference to address impact of obesity, nutrition on health

The Department of Foods and Nutrition will present its annual May Conference on Thursday (May 1) in Pfendler Hall.

Highlights of "Prevention, Pediatrics and Practice: A May Basket of Nutrition" will include two sessions that explore the effect childhood obesity has on bone breaks and metabolic syndrome, a session on the relationship between dietary variety and obesity and a presentation exploring the link between zinc and immune function. More

Boiler Volunteer Network to stage Project Move Out

In its eighth year, Project Move Out is expanding to serve needy members of the community with donations from on campus and a nearby neighborhood this weekend. More

During the summer, Purdue Galleries will feature a glittering array of contemporary objects and jewelry.

"57/1: Artists from the Premier Edition of the PMC Guild Annual" will be presented May 12 to Aug. 1 in the Robert L. Ringel Gallery in the Purdue Memorial Union. More
