Assistant director chosen for Purdue College of Technology at Columbus/Greensburg

Purdue University College of Technology has selected Jack Head as assistant director of the college's locations in Columbus and Greensburg.

Head has been an adjunct instructor for the College of Technology since 2000, teaching courses in organizational leadership and supervision. His responsibilities as assistant location director include marketing the Purdue College of Technology to area schools and businesses.

Head previously was president and founder of a sales and marketing company, American Urn Inc., in Columbus. He also was the founder of a Columbus-based international training and consulting company, Head Training and Consulting.

He has been the director of employee development for Batesville Casket Co./Hillenbrand Industries and a marketing and training specialist for Prudential Insurance. He holds a chartered life underwriter designation from the American College and a certified public adjuster designation from the Indiana Department of Insurance. He also is a U.S. Army combat veteran.

Head received a bachelor's degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and an MBA degree from  Lacrosse University.

 Purdue's College of Technology at Columbus/Greensburg offers associate's and bachelor's degrees in computer and information technology, a bachelor's degree in industrial technology, associate's and bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering technology and associate's and bachelor's degrees in organizational leadership and supervision.

Purdue's College of Technology educates more than 5,400 undergraduate students each year at its 11 locations throughout Indiana: West Lafayette, Anderson, Columbus, Greensburg, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, New Albany, Richmond and South Bend. Positioned to address the work force and educational needs of local citizens and corporate entities, each location's programs and degree options are dependent on regional work force needs.
