September 19, 2007 Two receive Young Alumni Awards from PurdueWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
Lori Szczypiorski and David Irimies received the awards during a ceremony on the Ross-Ade Stadium field. Szczypiorski, a 2002 graduate of the Krannert School of Management, serves on the board of directors for the Purdue Club of St. Joseph Valley. She holds the offices of publicity chairperson and assistant secretary. Szczypiorski also is involved in the Purdue President's Council and the John Purdue Club. She is employed as a product manager at Conn-Selmer in Elkhart, Ind. Irimies, a 2005 electrical and computer engineering graduate, serves as activities director for the Purdue Club of Cleveland. He also volunteers with the Purdue Engineering Alumni Association. An employee of NASA, he resides in Grafton, Ohio. Established in 1999, the Young Alumni Award honors people age 32 or younger who have given outstanding service to the university, the Purdue Alumni Association, or a local alumni club as well as citizenship activities.
