Purdue announces students named to 2007 Homecoming Court
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University has announced the names of students who will serve on the court for the 2007 Homecoming celebration on Oct. 22-27.This year's Homecoming theme is "Through the Decades ... Milestones in Purdue History."
The Purdue students were selected based on their resume, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement and a submitted essay.
The 14 court members will participate in a variety of activities and events throughout Homecoming, including a service project, parade, pep rally, interviews and the halftime ceremony at the Purdue vs. Northwestern football game.
A king and queen will be selected from the court based on several factors, including formal interviews by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff and students; online student voting; and appearances at events within the campus and community.
